  • This food has an average nutrient profile for a maintenance diet

  • The suggested feeding amounts are reasonable for a neutered dog with average activity

Marketing

Overall Score = 4.3 (range is 0-10, industry average = 5.4)

  • The diet contains a number of advertised ingredients in amounts so small that they are unlikely to contribute important nutrients to the diet

  • The diet focuses on the “no list” - using buzzwords over science

Safety / Quality Control

Overall Score = 5.0 (range is 0-10, industry average = 5.0)

  • The diet is manufactured by a co-packer rather than the company itself

  • The diet was formulated by a respected PhD animal nutritionist

Transparency

Overall Score = 1.9 (range is 0-10, industry average = 4.8)

  • This company was unwilling to provide even basic nutritional info or reveal which co-packer makes the product
